Maxi dress

Like most people, I gravitate towards clothing that is familiar and in my comfort zone. But lately I’m trying to get out of that rut and reach for things that are fun, interesting and different. This maxi dress isn’t that different, but it’s certainly something different in my wardrobe. If you’ve owned anything by Bailey 44 before, you know just how comfortable and soft their fabric is. When I’m wearing this, I feel like I’m wearing pajamas! Lucky for me (and you!) I scored it for $59.

Most of the time you will find me in heels, but when it comes to the weekend I’m all about a great flat or tennis shoe. Lately though, I’m all about being comfortable. Especially when I usually have a baby on one hip while keeping up with a four year old. Being comfortable and able to move is a necessity. I’ve owned these Vans for a couple years now and I love how the slip on style is so convenient. Plus, I think they’re quintessential southern California, don’t you?

Best of President’s Day sales

I have been taking advantage of our cooler days and wearing all my favorite layers before it starts to warm up again. Now you may be laughing at my “layers” but when it’s low 50’s in SoCal, that’s cold! These Coach boots are old, but here’s a similar style.

Are you taking advantage of the sales this weekend? Here’s a few things I have my eye on…

This dress I wore in my IG post over the weekend, this cheerful top, this fun top, this beautiful dress, this gorgeous tweed car coat, these tights for running, this dress (perfect with a denim jacket), these pretty heels, this fun dress, these loafers, this precious ruffle top, and this anorak jacket.

Good morning and happy Tuesday! I always seem to have a hard time pulling together outfits this time of year. I’m not sure what it is…maybe it’s just that awkward in between season. On a particular uninspired morning, I threw on my most comfortable outfit and wound up liking it a lot more than I anticipated. The simple basics like a silk top, high rise jeans and a cropped trench will always look good.

What are your favorite go-to’s?

High rise and bell sleeves

Staying true to my love of high rise jeans with these favorites. This trend has served me well because I have a few tops that are a little too cropped for work, but they look perfect with a pair of high rise pants. I’m also loving these and these.

Keeping it short and sweet today. I have a busy week ahead, but I’m ready to tackle it!

High rise + wide leg

If you hadn’t noticed, I am loving the high rise trend. So when I saw these wide leg, high rise pants I knew I would love them. They do have a lot of volume, but paired with the right shoes and top, they’re perfect. Unfortunately they’re sold out, but I’ve linked some other favorites below.

Hard to believe it’s already Thursday. This week is really flying by, but it’s been extremely productive. I love those kinds of weeks! Hope you’re all having a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Whenever I want to refresh my wardrobe with a few pieces, I like to rely on the Loft. Their prices are really affordable and they usually have really pretty items that can either be worn for work or weekend. I bought this top a few weeks ago and I love the vibrant colors. It can be worn just as easily with a pencil skirt as it does with jeans. I am also obsessed with these earrings. I wear them at least three times a week!

Hope you’re having a good one and thanks for stopping by!
